HOWARD T. ALTER, MANAGING PARTNER
Howard T. Alter is a Managing Partner of Roundview Capital. In 1992, he founded an investment advisory firm with a vision of combining value-based money management and family office services for high net worth families.
Mr. Alter served on the Charles Schwab Advisory Board and has lectured at American Universities on financial strategy and portfolio management. He has been quoted in a number of publications including The Wall Street Journal, New York Daily News, and TheStreet.com. He has also provided radio commentary for a number of stations across the United States.
Mr. Alter received his undergraduate degree in Finance from The George Washington University and holds a Masters in Business Administration from The New York University in Finance and International Business. He has a particular research interest in the emotional aspects of money as it relates to life decisions and hopes to publish a book on the topic in the future.
Mr. Alter has been involved in coaching youth sports. He most recently served as head coach for a New Jersey Junior Olympic Softball Program which won a State Championship for two consecutive years and finished among the top ten programs in the nation. He enjoys long distance running and has completed numerous marathons including those held in New York City, Chicago, San Diego, Memphis, and Quebec, Canada. He also loves baseball history.
Mr. Alter has significant community interests and currently serves in leadership positions for several organizations including: Famis, LLC, Fungoplay, LLC, The Harith Foundation, My Purpose Party, LLC, Percolate Productions, LLC, and the Princeton Friends School. These organizations are focused in two areas, namely building the self-esteem of children and developing cancer research. Mr. Alter considers his greatest achievement to be his family. He has been married for twenty years to his wife Nancy, and they have three children together. The Alter family has resided in Princeton Junction for more than two decades.
